NoteLink Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 2, 2026
Overview
NoteLink is a mobile app for bands. It lets a conductor or drum major send music and short text cues to members of the same band. This policy explains what information NoteLink uses and how it is handled.
Information we collect
NoteLink may store the first name you enter, your selected instrument, your preferred part, your band membership, session status, and app-generated identifiers used to keep your device synced with your band.
NoteLink does not collect precise location data and does not require a public profile.
Authentication
NoteLink uses Firebase Authentication, including anonymous authentication, to identify app sessions and protect band data. This happens in the background and does not require a user-facing password.
How information is used
The information is used to join bands, display the correct music part, sync active sessions, manage band membership, provide support, and improve app reliability.
Third-party services
NoteLink uses Firebase services from Google, including Firebase Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Storage, Hosting, and Cloud Functions. These services process data needed to run the app.
Firebase privacy information is available at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Data sharing
NoteLink does not sell personal information. Data may be processed by service providers needed to operate the app, or disclosed if required by law.
Data retention and deletion
App profile and membership data may be retained while the account or band is active. You can request deletion of your NoteLink account data from the account deletion page.
Children
NoteLink is intended for use by bands and music groups. If a parent, guardian, school, or organization believes data should be removed, contact support and we will review the request.
